What a triumph of Georgian design, embodying reserve and quality.

Gorgeous rich orange and gold wrapping its self around the bowl, cradled in its saucer.  The way the bowl sits into its high walled saucer is absolutely of period. 

What I find so striking is the gilt line just under the ribbon of orange.  Instead of simply banding a line on the bowl, they have painted tiny crosses and dots to make up a line, but it is done with such amazing control that from any distance it reads as merely a line.  

What an extraordinary effort to make in a detail that could so easily be overlooked, and this in its self tells me everything about this bowl and saucer.

Excellent condition, no cracks chips or restoration.  Very good gilding for its age, only very minor rubbing please look carefully at the photgraphs.  Some kiln dust in the glaze, again please inspect the pictures
