Worcester floral decorated cup c.1780
£185.00 inc. tax
A delightful polychrome 18th century Worcester porcelain cup decorated with an uncommon floral decoration.
I am dating this stunning little jewel from around 1780 as there was an increasing taste for stylised floral patterns in this period.
The porcelain is in mint condition, I have rarely seen a Worcester cup of this period in such perfect condition.
Please study the pictures carefully. I have not been able to find any matching examples of this pattern.
It is extremely rare to find a piece of Worcester porcelain that appears to have escaped cataloguing.
Marks:
None
Size:
6.3 cm tall
5.8 cm diam at the rim
Weight:
78 g
Age:
240 years
Condition:
Mint condition.
In the third picture you can see a dark area which resembles a chip on the foot rim but actually this is a tiny area of discolouration in the glaze, possibly even a trace of an enamel picked up from the shelf. Having looked under magnification there is no damage.
