A wonderfully sculptural white and gold jug made just six years into the reign of Queen Victoria, and still embodying the flamboyant exuberance of the Georgian period while employing ambitious moulding technicality of the new industrial Victorian period.
Made by Jones and Walley Staffordshire England. design registered on 13th May 1843.
An interesting early victorian jug with handles made from crossed vines. A soft slightly grey white colour body decorated with gold detail. Some restoration to lip at one side.
Approximately 25cm tall.
