Derby shell form cream boat 1770
Derby porcelain shell form cream boat decorated in a rich deep saphire blue cobalt with the “House on an island” pattern.
This pattern was commonly used on these wares but it was usually printed, and on many examples the blue runs badly.
Hand painted examples such as this although recorded are rare. Which makes this small object very special.
