Barr & Flight & Barr Royal Lily pattern plate 1792 - 1807

£65.00 inc. tax
A mint condition side plate from the Barr & Flight & Barr period 1792 - 1807 decorated and gilded in the Royal Lily pattern and with a scalloped edge.

In 1788 King George III and Queen Charlotte toured Flight's Worcester Porcelain factory and ordered a breakfast service in the Blue Lily design which then became known as the "Royal" Lily pattern.

Since then the pattern has been a favourite and was produced over a long period of time.

Earlier examples are naturally of higher collectable value, and pieces in this condition are relatively rare.

This is not the earliest period, but its a fine example with perfectly intact gilding as well as the scalloped edge.

Measuring 19.4 cm, this is either a  side plate or a dessert plate and a high quality example.

It has a faintly incised B on the back which was a mark used in the BFB period.
