Bishop and Stonier Celery Vase 1890's
£70.00 inc. tax
A very unusual piece made by Bishop and Stonier who were manufacturing around the end of the 19th century., this celery vase has some ecclesiastical qualities about it. The celery would be washed and stood upright in the vase which has holes in the bottom, and stands on its base, which catches any excess water.
At one time the celery vase was an essential feature of every dining table.
This is nicely decorated in turquoise gold black and red, and certainly reflects some of the Art Nouveau influence which would have been prevalent at the time.
