SOLD Brampton Derbyshire salt glazed stoneware jug, circa 1840
£108.00 inc. tax
A Brampton Derbyshire salt glazed stoneware jug, circa 1840, length from lip to handle just 9.7 cm.
This jug has the royal crest on it and on the bottom a relief of a flower. Its a lovely little object sent to me by a long time collector who told me they had never come across another one like it, so I presume its quite a rare moulding.
The glaze is a lovely wholesome brown, and its in very good condition.
Possibly a commemorative item, or made on commission in a small number.
Something a little bit special.
