Caughley Gilded Bread and Butter Plate
£48.00 inc. tax
Caughley royal fluted bread and butter plate with gilded spots and gilded edging.
Potted and decorated by Caughley in Shropshire England between 1788 and 1795.
Wonderful buttery gilding which would have looked fabulous in a Georgian candle lit parlour.
The royal fluting has a beautiful slow curve. This is made from English soft paste porcelain. The body has a slightly ivory creaminess which compliments the gold.
No chips or cracks. A little wear to the gilding and some discolouration on the base but in overall very good condition.
