A charming and useful lidded vessel decorated with loosely painted and comical Chinese dragons with pearls and banded with brass rings.

This is a wonderful object, and has a real pressence when sat in the room, which is hard to experience from the photographs.

It is well potted and a lovely shape.  The lid fits very nicely, and the brass rings add a touch of class, especially when polished.  

I believe this is 19th century and was possibly made for export to Thailand.

Condition:
Good condition and presents well, very charming.  An age related star crack on the base and a single straight crack at one side.  The porcelain is very strong, and also held with the brass bands so its not going anywhere.  These cracks may be age related and have formed because the bands have a different expansion rate to the porcelain.  Otherwise in excellent antique condition.
