Chinese Trefoil Vase

A Contemporary Chinese flambe glazed trefoil vase.  Such trefoil vases were made during the Qing dynasty but are rare.  This vase has drawn from the rich history of Chinese ceramics, taking a complex rare shape from its past and a red and blue flambe glaze which is forming a wonderful fur like texture.

The glazed surface is very high gloss glassy glaze and the base has been finely ground flat.

For its size its quite a heavy vase with good wall thickness.
