A Japanese porcelain moulded dish made in Arita probably c. 1700-1720

Decorated with dark and light green, blue, red and grey enamels and gilding.

Depicting the corner of a fence structure next to a scrolling water pattern and a pine tree growing intertwined with a flowering blossom tree.  Below are flowering chrysanthumums and young bamboo shoots with another plant in flower.

The pine is depicted i deep blue, deep green and gold.  The blosom tree uses a grey or aubergine enamel along with green red and gold.

On the back of the bowl the outside rim is decorated with blue red and gold loosely brushed plants, towards the outside of the foot, three blue rings.  

The bottom of the base has a blue ring about an inch inside the foot rim.  There are five stilt marks.

This type of bowl was produced at the beginning of the 18th century  1700-1720 and is within the Edo period.

Condition:
Good antique condition with no chips cracks or restoration.  Some wear to the gilding and enamels particularly along the tops of the moulded ribs
