Helena Wolfsohn Cabinet Plate
Helena Wolfsohn Cabinet plate made between 1846 and 1881.
This is a highly ornate pattern. I have tried to identify the soldiers uniforms but that was inconclusive, though it seems to be commemorating some sort of collaboration between nations, or peace treaty ?
I have seen the same pattern painted on a KMP porcelain plate.
Helena Wolfsohn was a respected decorator of porcelain blanks obtained from a variety of different porcelain companies and worked from about 1843 until 1883.
Wolfsohn was most famous for the decorative pieces she produced in the distinctive Rocco style which were highly ornate porcelain pieces that featured brightly colored flowers, shells, and foliage.
