Job Meigh Pineapple Jug 1810
£120.00 inc. tax
A fabulous large sized early 19th century "Pineapple" moulded jug made by the manufactory of Job Meigh.
Job Meigh specialized in stoneware and earthenware production working at the Old Hall Pottery, Hanley Staffordshire between 1805 and 1834.
This handsome jug is marked with an impressed stamp MEIGH which was his standard mark.
From 1812 "& Son" was added to his mark, so this probably suggests a date for this jug between 1805 and 1812.
The handle shape also indicates this is an early 19th century jug.
In very good condition for earthenware of this period with only minor gild loss around the end of the lip.
A lovely addition to any collection.
