Late Georgian Breakfast Cup and Saucer
£48.00 inc. tax
A very white bone china body and a lovely wide open rim give this cup a fresh light feel, very modern for its date of around 1835.
Hand decorated in grean yellow and gold, an unusual pattern with green and yellow flowers and gold hips of berries.
A delicately fluted rim enhances the lighness of the porcelain.
There are no makers marks but I think this is probably made by Coalport.
There is a similar shaped cup in "A Compendium of British Cups" by Michael Berthoud plate 997.
