An unusual pearlware creamer with a very satifyingly curved shape.
Made at the beginning of the 19th century and possibly from the North East of England in the Sunderland area.
Unmarked but reminicent in shape of work by Sewell.
Hand thrown and glazed with a slightly blue tinted clear glaze.
Decorated with cobalt blue flowers and pink/purple lustre, the flowers being underglaze cobalt blue, the lustre applied later and then again fired in a muffle kiln.
