SOLD Pearlware cup and saucer c.1810

£45.00 inc. tax
An unusual pearlware cup and saucer made at the beginning of the 19th century.

Possibly from the North East of England in the Sunderland area.

It is unmarked, but is a match for a creamer I had in my position which was identified as possibly made by Sewell.

Hand thrown and glazed with a slightly blue tinted clear glaze.

Decorated with cobalt blue flowers and pink/purple lustre, the flowers being underglaze cobalt blue, the lustre applied later and then again fired in a muffle kiln.
