A fabulous first period Worcester sugar bowl printed with the rare variant of the 'Mother and Child' pattern with an additional standing figure holding a flower pot.

On the reverse of the bowl an equally rare version of the 'La Terre' pattern picturing a kneeling Chinese figure and a 'Long Eliza' by a tall jardinière, the interior printed with pomegranates and vines in a basket.

The edge is decorated with blue and on the base an open blue crescent mark.

Finely potted and very translucent body, this is an excellent example of "first period" Worcester porcelain. 

The print quality is good and clean, as is the mark.

Condition:
Excellent condition, no chips cracks or restoration.  Only minor age related ware to the glaze.  There is a small "dry" area on the foot, where the glaze has not quite fluxed and run.  This is from the time of manufature and is not damage.  Overall a great piece in lovely condition.
