An exquisite piece of very early European soft paste porcelain manufactured at the St Cloud factory between 1696 -1722.
It has a wonderful quality, a translucency and lovely glaze, and is decorated with a characteristically rich and deep underglaze blue cobalt.
Soft-paste porcelain with a lead-glaze. Of rectangular waisted form with a flared foot.
Moulded with a ribbed pattern around the top edge and at the base. Decorated in underglaze-blue with a stylised flower and scroll pattern.
