Swansea Creamware Pink Lustre Heron Plate

A rare and wonderful Swansea creamware lustre plate with a heron standing between trees next to a small bridge eyeing up a flying insect.
The insect is eyeing the heron right back !!
Surounded by an apple green basket weave border and an arcaded lustre decorated rim.
Impressed on the back with the horseshoe shaped mark of Dillwyn & Co Swansea. This mark was used between 1811 and 1817.
These plates are so lovely and quite rare. A fine example with no chips cracks or restoration.
Some damage to the green enamel of the rim at two places. Possibly from time of manufacture.
Full of charm this is a great piece for any collection.
