Kangxi Miniature Vase Clobbered in England
£265.00 inc. tax
Here we have a little treasure. A small Chinese flared cylindrical bud vase from the Kangxi period 1662-1722 with coloured enamels added in England.
Most likely made for export after the official kilns reopened in the 1680's so possibly from the 1690-1700 period and exported to Europe as a blue and white vase.
The coloured enamels were later added or "clobbered" in England in the 1820-30 period when blue and white was out of fashion and highly colourful ceramics was the vogue.
