Tulip or Quintal vase 1825

A very rare shape, the quintal or tulip vase, decorated in a lustre glaze and with green lining and floral decoration in a dark pink a light pink, yellow and green.

A very interesting piece and made somewhere between 1820 and 1830 judging by the colour of the enamels and style of the enamelling.

These vases often come in creamware and prattware but a lustre one is unusual.

Known as a tulip vase or quintal vase because of its five spokes.

Excellent condition.  Some wear to the enamels and a chip to one corner of the foot.
