Vase with Hand Painted Daffodils

An unusual hand painted vase with daffodils and leaves, outlined with fine gilt lines. Of European manufacture the body has been cast in a mould, the top sprayed in a madder colour with a fine fade.
Made around 1900 towards the end of the aesthetic movement period (1870-90) and before Art Deco. Showing strong lines and design utilizing concave convex and straight lines with broken rhythm at the flared neck. A small foot raises the bulbous base up to give a floating feeling to the vase.
Hand painted in rather matt enamels over a glazed ivory coloured body. Quite a tall vase standing at 27cm.
