A high quality Worcester Barr Flight and Barr 24 spiral fluted late eighteenth century tea bowl.

Made between 1793 and 1803 and marked on the base with the painters number 12 in puce.

There were a number of designs along this theme of purple and gold floral motifs made at this period.

Here the motifs are stylistic with large sweeping arabesques, and not intended to resemble specific plants or flowers, but to be merely decorative.
