SOLD Worcester Cannon Ball pattern Saucer

A nice hand painted Worcester first period saucer in Cannon Ball pattern dated 1760-70 decorated in a deep cobalt underglaze blue.
This is one of the most classic Worcester early patterns and was used for a period of around 25 years. It was used on all different shapes of tea wares.
A large rock on an island with a temple, and in the distance a second island and temple.
The cobalt is particularly deep strong colour on this saucer. A nice open crest mark on the back.
Some age related wear to this item but still has a strong and vigourous quality.
